The Mummy!

Lähettäjä Copplestone Castings - BT1 - Bad Things 1

This fella came with the lady and the man. No basecoat pictures of it, because I started painting this a while ago and didn't occur to took any. It was easy to paint, as there are no tiny details and there are only a couple colors to be used. Still I managed to tinker around it for a long time, as I wasn't pleased with result. But well, here it is. Next I'm going to fix the base. I bougt some JOVI Terracotta Modelling Paste from nearby Saiturin Pörssi store and I'm going to put some of that clay/paste/whatever to it to make it look like a dungeon floor or something. Paint it, too, of course.

I already did a couple of bases this way and they look decent. The only thing here is that it's quite hard to keep the paste from staining the figure, as it is already glued to the base. I have been wondering how these base modifications are made, gluewise speaking. There are lots of sites giving tips about making bases but they ignore the glueing process completely.

It is possible to cut the metal base part off and then put glue under the feet, but it won't hold much if the figure is used in gaming. There must be some drilling and little metal pins/screws/nails to put through the underside in the feet.

Remember to check the gallery as there is another picture of this late pharaoh. And use the zoom tool to see the details. (What details?)

And oh yeah, today I received some stuff from Tritex Games: Blood Bowl Rules Book 3rd Edition (second hand), SF Metal Fantasy Football Selection and three Translucent Green Impact D6 Block Dices. It took the usual seven days to arrive from Britain.
